SILVIA CALDERONI + ILENIA CALEO

Museo della Città
Silvia Calderoni and Ilenia Caleo start from the bodily gesture and the liquid substance of Zen for Head, a work in which Nam June Paik dipped his head in paint, drew a line on paper, and then left the artwork open for anyone to reproduce.
Calderoni and Caleo have translated Paik’s action into five directions:
_working with materials, be it paint, paper, a bucket or something else.
_working with traces, leaving a trace, like snails.
_working with liquid substances.
_working (as in the poetics of Flu水o) on a duration determined by a concrete temporality: the exhaustion of a material, the evaporation of a substance, the consumption of all energy.
_working with the body as it is, in its physical, dynamic presence.
