Silvia Calderoni (and special guests) / Motus
01 / 05 / 2025
h.5:00 PM - Museo della Città | Ala nuova

It is a site-specific performance with Silvia Calderoni (and surprise guests), designed to inhabit the spaces of the exhibition FUTURE IN THE PAST—inaugurated at the City Museum on March 15—and dedicated to the new Motus Digital Archive, which collects materials from 35 years of theatrical adventures. An atlas-like exhibition that, from the viscosity of the past, fertilizes the future—as we’ve defined it—choosing to set up the new wing of the museum as a surprising, non-chronological itinerary. The passage from one room to another—through a corridor/tunnel of words that reawaken the ghostly voices of the many actors and actresses who have crossed Motus’ stages—gives life to a mnemonic nebula where the boundaries, beginnings, and endings of individual performances no longer make sense, because everything is part of one great 35-year-long work.
In relation to this fluid positioning, which transforms the exhibition into an autonomous artistic object, Silvia Calderoni will inhabit the space, staging a “Dadaist and furious” montage with a kaleidoscopic dramaturgy: a journey through time and space, through the reenactment of fragments from the many scripts and director’s notebooks on display, as if gliding on her mythical roller skates or driving Pasolini’s car, exhibited in the museum garden.
