TITO's Project
Renovations are underway to make accessible and sustainable Casa Motus, the farmhouse in the hills of San Giovanni in Marignano that has made rehearsals, parties and meetings possible for the company and its guests/collaborators since 1993. “Common Good” will be born: an open space for artist*, researcher*, free souls!
The project (dedicated to Tito, Enrico’s father who invested so much in this house) will create a cultural center for the development of artistic-pedagogical activities open to the public that will develop artistic projects aimed at promoting cultural and environmental awareness and landscape redevelopment, with workshops and laboratories open to all age groups, including childhood, book presentations, exhibitions and performances by national and international artists who, after a period of residence in the house, will present to the public installations and site-specific works inspired by their work on the house itself and the rural landscape. Among the planned activities is LUNACY, the new Rural Festival that will have its first edition in August 2026, occupying the surrounding 4 hectares of land.
In fact, Casa MOTUS also envisages actions to preserve the landscape heritage, with restoration and maintenance of the olive grove, the restoration of some old farming paths and the start-up of “Biodiverso,” a large synergistic vegetable garden that can be a destination for field trips and research by schoolchildren from neighboring municipalities.
The idea is to transform the house itself into an artistic object, while regarding its historical/cultural origins, indeed making them the starting point of research projects. Many years of attendance at cultural centers and theaters around the world, as well as the artistic direction of the Santarcangelo Festival, have allowed the founders of Compagnia Motus to weave a wide network of relationships and connections that can be channeled and optimized in the creation of a cultural center (Casa Motus) that also involves other European realities for the exchange and synergistic realization of shared projects.
Long-term goal, once the work covered by this call for proposals is finished, which is an essential starting point for the start of the project, is to transform the entire territory surrounding the house into “Edible Park” (multifunctional agricultural estate for peri-urban areas).
