TITO's Project
Project TITO
We have renovated Casa Motus, the farmhouse nestled in the hills of San Giovanni in Marignano, which since 1993 has hosted rehearsals, gatherings, and celebrations for the company and its guests/collaborators. From this space will emerge “Bene Comune” – an open space for artists, researchers, and free spirits!
The project – dedicated to Tito, Enrico’s father, who deeply invested in this house – gives life to a cultural center aimed at developing artistic and pedagogical activities open to the public. It will foster artistic projects that promote cultural and environmental awareness and the revitalization of the landscape. These include workshops and labs for all age groups, including children, as well as book presentations, exhibitions, and performances by national and international artists who, after a residency period at the house, will present site-specific installations and works inspired by the house itself and the surrounding rural landscape.
Among the planned activities is also LUNACY, the new Rural Festival, whose first edition is scheduled for August 2026 and will occupy the 4 hectares of surrounding land.
Casa MOTUS also includes actions for the conservation of the landscape heritage, such as the restoration and maintenance of the olive grove, the recovery of old peasant paths, and the launch of “Biodiverso”, a large synergistic garden designed to host school trips and research activities for students from nearby towns.
The house itself becomes an artistic object, while respecting its historical and cultural roots – in fact, making them the starting point for the research projects. Years of experience in international cultural centers and theaters, along with the artistic direction of the Santarcangelo Festival, have enabled the founders of Compagnia Motus to build an extensive network of relationships and connections. These can now be channeled into the realization of this cultural center (Casa Motus), involving other European partners in the exchange and co-creation of shared projects.
The long-term goal, once the renovation works covered by this call are completed (an essential starting point for the project’s launch), is to transform the entire area surrounding the house into an “Edible Park” – a multifunctional agricultural estate for peri-urban areas.
