The First Breath on Earth and Its Subsequent Sublime Collapse is a performance emerging from a dramaturgical workshop exploring the liminal zones of digital space, where collective listening, dispersed memory and virtual archives converge. The work engages with a question posed by philosopher Federico Campagna: what will remain of the memory of the Digital Age when, after climate collapse, our electronic devices survive only as mute monuments?

Royal Divorce approaches this question through an act of emotional archaeology, attempting to recover fragments of the present from the immeasurable archive of the web. Participants assume the role of contemporary rhapsodes, giving voice to experiences left by users in the comment sections of music videos on YouTube—traces of everyday life destined to disappear within the endless flows of the internet.

Bio

Royal Divorce is a collective born in 2023, oriented towards research and creation between performative practices and visual arts.
