national premiere
In a dimly lit space, a small group executes collective movements, evoking the blurry forms of low-resolution viral videos. Their dance is intercut with voices: matriarchs, keepers of tradition, reciting bedtime stories. But here, oral folklore merges with digital echoes of creepypasta—contemporary fables born from keyboards and spread through the web’s depths.
Matriarchs have always been guides, mediators between past and future, narrators of symbolic worlds where fear and knowledge entwine. In cultures where words hold sacred power, storytelling shapes reality. Now, these 2.0 shamans gather online legends, recounting them like ancestral myths.
The performance becomes a collective ritual, blending movement and voice to explore borders between memory and virtuality, sacred and digital.
Outcome of the CREEPYPASTA Workshop.
