National premiere

To transform one’s image and become an animal—or perhaps even a structure for a new, nameless entity. To draw inspiration from an icon until one’s life becomes a project defined by that image’s language. To be consumed by obsession to the point where it becomes an inhuman, non-human project without a center: it becomes an environment, yielding to the desire of that environment to visually devour everything.
Inspired by mystical rapture, animal mimicry, transhumanism, dissipative structures, and self-organization, Revelations of Divine Love is the process of entering and exiting an icon, being born and dying into and out of a space, serving an unknown inhuman, non-human project for which the human is both the center and the material for a new teleonomic paradigm.
On stage, a purely human body, artificial prostheses, and automatons engage obsessively in a delicate dismemberment of human form, redefining it within a new space.

Bio 

Meuko! Meuko! is a Taiwanese artist and musician with a background in performance. For years, she has toured globally with an audiovisual project, performing in clubs and festivals. Her Ghost Islandproject received critical acclaim, blending traditional Taiwanese instrumentation and vocals with highly synthetic electronic sound.

Cityofbrokendolls, a Japanese artist and performer, is a fixture in Tokyo’s underground scene, performing in galleries and clubs. She plays in noise bands and DJs. This marks her first international work, brought to Italy through her collaboration with VVXXII in the club scene.

VVXXII splits time between Italy and Taiwan. After working in theater, they turned to sculpture, often in club and rave contexts.
